Annual Gala Committee
The Annual Gala Committee plans the Annual Gala, which includes the presentation of the BEPC Excellence Award. This committee plans and organizes the entire evening in conjunction with the Council’s management company, Virtual. This includes selecting the event location and menu; establishing the program for the Leadership Reception and the dinner; selecting the event moderator; conducting the interviews of the award recipient, the recipient’s family, friends, and colleagues; selecting the speeches and acting as informal hosts of the Gala.  (Note that the recipient is chosen by a different committee.)

Golf Outing Committee
The Golf Committee organizes the annual golf tournament, which normally takes place in July, as a social and networking event. The committee is responsible for all aspects of this event including site selection, budget, recruiting members and guests to play golf, and, in conjunction with the Sponsorship Committee, identifying sponsors to cover the costs of the outing. This event has incorporated a charitable giving component but that decision is made each year by the Golf Committee.

Marketing & Communications Committee
The goal of the Marketing and Communications Committee is to provide thought leadership on design and web access to enhance the member experience. It is our responsibility to review, revise and update the website content on a weekly basis, ensure a consistent message and style is applied across all BEPC communications, whether online or in print and develop, implement, and administer a social media policy and presence for BEPC. Our committee consists of five to six members and the work of our committee involves regular collaboration with the other BEPC committees.

Member Involvement Committee
The Member Involvement Committee is tasked with helping to ensure that new members feel both welcome to and informed about BEPC, that all members know how they can be engaged in the life of the Council, that any member who wishes to be on a Committee is given that opportunity, and that the tools the Council uses to gauge member satisfaction are informative and effective.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is comprised of 20-25 members. The primary responsibilities of the Membership Committee are to oversee BEPC membership by attracting new members who meet the Council's qualifications, to assist prospective members through the membership application process, and to assist current and lapsed members with renewal of their membership. From time to time, the Membership Committee also develops new guidelines for membership, as well as establishes special initiatives for membership growth.

Council Outreach Committee
The Council Outreach Committee’s purpose is to focus on the relationship/be a liaison with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) and with other local Councils. BEPC is one of the largest councils represented within NAEPC and the committee is tasked with ensuring that BEPC members are aware of the many offerings and/or benefits available to them through NAEPC.

Networking Committee
The Networking Committee is comprised of 8 to 10 members. The primary purpose of the Networking Committee is to plan and facilitate events where members can meet each other in a casual atmosphere to network with each other and with prospective members. The Networking Committee is responsible for organizing these events throughout the year.  Some of these are for members only, but others are for members and prospective members who are invited by members. This allows current members to meet new estate planning professionals while potentially growing the membership of the BEPC.

Programs Committee
The Programs Committee now encompasses Signature Events, Seminars and Webinars, and Roundtables. The Programs Committee will also be involved with the Marketing and Communications Committee to develop new content ideas and creative ways to bring content to the membership, such as podcasts and webinars.

Signature Events The Signature Events Subcommittee presents a speaker on a topic of interest to members, which may sometimes be outside the traditional education topics typically covered by seminars, webinars and roundtables. This event will be aimed at drawing a larger attendance at a more formal venue.

 Seminars/Webinars
The Seminars/Webinars subcommittee organizes the continuing education programs consisting of informal lunch seminars at which meals are served, as well as Webinars. Generally the goal is to provide six to eight educational programs with local and nationally recognized speaker on topics that appeal to the membership.  The committee members determine the appropriate topics and arrange for speakers with the objective of keeping members apprised of developments and changes in the estate planning field.

 Roundtables
The Member Roundtable Committee, a subcommittee of the Programs Committee, is responsible for educational events throughout the year exclusively for BEPC members. There will be three Member Round Table events annually, each of which will consist of five tables of 10 to 15 members, with each table having a separate topic of discussion led by an expert. The committee is responsible for coordinating the topics and the speakers.

Public/Community Outreach Committee
The Public/Community Outreach Committee’s purpose is to further BEPC’s commitment to the local community. We will engage BEPC members in actively strengthening and supporting community initiatives in Greater Boston by identifying members’ corporate resources and individual charitable interests.  In addition we will educate members about the role corporate philanthropy plays in sustaining our local community, increasing a firm’s competitive advantage and strengthening client relationships.  We will work with other BEPC Committees to create a “giving back” culture in BEPC, encourage support through volunteer and philanthropic initiatives, and seek to enhance public awareness of these efforts.

Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee is made up of fifteen to twenty members. The Committee has three primary goals: solicit annual sponsors; solicit sponsors for the Annual Gala; and serve as a liaison between existing sponsors and the organization. The Committee is dedicated to ensuring that sponsors receive as much value from their sponsorship dollars as possible. To that end, each Committee member serves as the main contact for two to three sponsors throughout the year. In addition, the Committee coordinates the speaking opportunities for the sponsors at the various events. Lastly, the Committee works with the Finance Committee and the Annual Gala Committee to create and update the various sponsorship opportunities and set the associated prices.

Women's Initiative Committee (WIC)
The Women’s Initiative Committee (WIC) is made up of both female and male BEPC members. The Women’s Initiative Committee has been committed to both networking events and programs focused on women’s issues.  Going forward, efforts are being made to expand some of the events to the broader membership. Past programs have included a wine tasting and speakers on topics such as social media and business development.
