The Boston Estate Planning Council
Founded in 1930, the Boston Estate Planning Council is the oldest estate planning organization in the country. From its deep roots, the Council has evolved to adapt to robust growth in the field of estate planning. Initially what started as a membership of bank trust officers and insurance professionals, expanded in 1960 to include attorneys and accountants, and then in 1986 the organization broadened its scope to include wealth managers and others in a direct response to the expanding professional needs of the constituent client base of its members.
Today, the Boston Estate Planning Council is a thriving multi-disciplinary professional association organized to provide educational programs and networking opportunities for estate planning professionals in the community. The Boston Estate Planning Council is also one of the largest associations of its kind in the country, enjoying record membership of 800+, an active board, and a clear path for the future.
