Heather B. Bearfield, CISA, CISM, CRISC

Session Description:

Costly and damaging data breaches are being reported nearly every day, and companies of all types and sizes are being targeted. Businesses are facing a “perfect storm” from insider threats in their own boardrooms, due to a combination of blurred organizational boundaries, new and changing technology, and economic malaise. As organizations increasingly leverage a contract labor workforce and economic circumstances require increasingly aggressive cost–cutting actions, the risk of malicious and accidental insider activity increases. We will provide insight into everyday vulnerabilities that you may not be aware of as well as what you can do to protect yourself, and your company.  Marcum will provide tips on how you can minimize risks from both physical and cyber threats.
