|Letter from the President|
I am honored to serve as the 86th President of the Boston Estate Planning Council and do so humbly on the shoulders of all those who have served before me.
I’d like to acknowledge Tim McBride for his leadership as President this past year. Under Tim’s leadership we enhanced the member experience by upgrading our Program and Networking events.
Thank you all for joining us at our 2016 Annual Gala to honor our BEPC Excellence Award winner Barbara Freedman Wand. This is just one of the 27 well attended education and networking events we had this past year.
As I shared in my remarks at the Gala, the State of BEPC is strong! BEPC is a multidisciplinary organization of over 700 estate planning attorneys, wealth managers, accountants, insurance and philanthropic advisors. The Council’s historical mission has been to provide educational programs and networking opportunities for our members.
We will work towards expanding this mission to become a more prominent organization that is “helping to secure the wealth of Boston for years to come”. In order to accomplish this expanded mission, we will implement “BEPC Vision 2020” by working on a longer term vision for the organization with goals for the next 3-5 years.
I thank all the organizations who support BEPC as members and as sponsors. If you are not already a member of BEPC, please consider joining us. We invite you to learn more on our website at www.bepc.org. If you are already a member and are not actively involved, please tell us how we can serve you better. Feel free to reach out to me directly at email@example.com.Dan Flanagan
