Serving on a Nonprofit Board: Why and How To

presented by the Public and Community Outreach Committee

Come learn about serving on nonprofit boards. Hear from our panelists (moderator Melissa Langa, of Bove & Langa, and one representative from each of BEPC's 3 non-profit partners: Community Work Services, College Bound Dorchester, and Silver Lining Mentoring) about the responsibilities of a non-profit board, different roles that board members can play, how they interact with the non-profit's leadership, and how pre-joining due diligence makes for a successful relationship. We will focus particularly on the skills that BEPC members can bring, along with roles and committees that non-profit board members in our professions may most likely be asked to join. Event is open to members and prospective members.

**Appetizers and drinks will be served.

**This event requires no registration fee.
