The Philanthropy Talk: How Do I Do It & Why Do I Have To?

The Boston Estate Planning Council is delighted to share with its members information about an upcoming program hosted by MSCPA. In coordination with the Boston Foundation and The Philanthropic Initiative, MSCPA presents The Philanthropy Talk: How Do I Do It & Why Do I Have To? on Tuesday, December 11 from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.

This session will include a presentation of key findings from the U.S. Trust Study of The Philanthropic Conversation: Understanding Advisor Approaches & Client Expectations, which is the 2018 study of the Philanthropic Conversation conducted by The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI)—a global philanthropy consulting group housed at the Boston Foundation—in partnership with U.S. Trust. This study explores advisors’ approaches to philanthropic conversations with their high net worth clients, examines high net worth individuals’ perceptions of these discussions, and shows trends since this research was last conducted in 2013.

The event will take the study’s findings as a launching pad for a panel of professional advisors, a donor dialogue, and a Q&A session. Breakfast will be provided and 1 CPE credit is available.
