The Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Women’s Money Matters (WMM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls to improve their financial health and build secure futures for themselves and their families.

At its March 26, 2026 board meeting, BEPC approved a proposal from the Community Engagement Committee to formally partner with Women’s Money Matters. This collaboration aligns closely with BEPC’s mission to advance the field of estate planning through meaningful service, collaborative partnerships, and the thoughtful use of our members’ professional talents to support financial literacy and long‑term financial stability.

About Women's Money Matters

Women’s Money Matters works to address systemic financial challenges that disproportionately impact women—including the gender wage gap and the “pink tax”—through education, mentorship, and community-based support. Their programs help participants achieve measurable outcomes, including increased income, higher savings, and improved credit scores.

Volunteer Opportunities for BEPC Members

Through this partnership, BEPC members are invited to engage with Women’s Money Matters in flexible, high-impact volunteer roles:

Coach (Three-Month Commitment):
Provide one-on-one support to program participants during weekly workshops over a three-month period. No specific financial expertise is required, your professional experience and lived experience are highly valued.

Presenter (90-Minute Micro-volunteer Opportunity):
Facilitate a 90-minute group discussion on a financial wellness topic such as budgeting, credit, or goal-setting. Presenters receive ready-to-use slide decks, detailed facilitation guides, and program support.

Upcoming volunteer opportunities include both virtual and in-person cohorts, allowing members to participate in ways that best fit their schedules.

Getting Started

Joining Women’s Money Matters is a simple, four-step process:

Complete an online interest form

Attend a volunteer orientation

Select a coaching cohort or presentation topic

Complete onboarding and training

BEPC members who volunteer will play a meaningful role in helping women and families build lasting financial confidence and stability. By volunteering, you help participants achieve measurable results, such as an average 26% increase in monthly income and a 254% increase in savings.

More information on volunteer opportunities and how to get involved can be found at
https://volunteer.womensmoneymatters.org/.

We look forward to working with Women’s Money Matters and our members to make a powerful and lasting impact in the community.
