The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) is seeking nominations for its national board of directors. Representing a diverse network of affiliated local councils, Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designees, and at-large members, the board plays a vital role in shaping the future of the estate planning profession.

As a leader within your local council or an active AEP® designee, you may know individuals who exemplify leadership through professional and civic engagement. We invite you to nominate these individuals—or yourself—for consideration. The nomination deadline is Friday, July 18, 2025.

Ideal candidates are past presidents or current officers of affiliated councils or professionals with demonstrated leadership in estate planning. While not required, prior attendance at two NAEPC annual conferences and service on a national committee are highly valued. Candidates must represent one of the five core disciplines: attorney, accountant, insurance/financial planning professional, philanthropic professional, or trust professional. They must also be significantly engaged in estate planning and support the team-based approach.

While the AEP® designation is not mandatory at the time of nomination, it must be obtained within one year of election to the board.

Serving on the NAEPC board is a prestigious and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the profession at a national level. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by mail, and those not selected will remain under consideration for three years.

👉 Submit Your Candidacy Online

For questions, please contact the NAEPC office.
