During August, BEPC recognizes the following:

August 18, Krishna Janmashtami celebrates Krishna's birthday, Vishnu's eight incarnation on earth.

August 21, Senior Citizens Day recognizes the many contributions older adults make in communities across the United States.

August 26, Women's Equality Day not only commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, but also calls attention to women's continuing efforts toward full equality.
