The Capacity Question: Guiding Clients and Families Through Cognitive and Emotional ChangeWebinar DescriptionCognitive and emotional changes can arise at any stage of life, including stress, burnout, health events, trauma, and aging-related conditions. These changes may affect how clients process information, make decisions, communicate, and engage in planning, often influencing family dynamics and long-term outcomes. Advisors are uniquely positioned to recognize early signs of change while balancing respect for client autonomy with their professional responsibility. Participants will gain practical strategies to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, preserve trust, and support clients and families through complex transitions. This session will be led by Arden O’Connor, a nationally recognized speaker on the intersection of behavioral health and wealth management, and Dr. Colleen Jackson, Director of Assessment at Intent Clinical and a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. Together, they bring deep expertise in behavioral health, cognitive assessment, and family dynamics, along with extensive experience supporting advisors and clients navigating complex cognitive and emotional changes.
