NAEPC Informational Session

Webinar Description

Overview of the resources and benefits of becoming a member of NAEPC. You will hear from Eleanor, Executive Manager of NAEPC, about what membership can mean to enhancing your practice. Katie Sheehan will share her perspective of being in both BEPC and NAEPC and how it is has been helpful to her. 

Speakers

Katie Sheehan, JD, AEP®
Managing Director and Wealth Strategist, Crestwood Advisors

Katie is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategist in our Boston office. Prior to joining Crestwood, Katie was a Wealth Strategist at SVB (formerly Boston Private). Before joining Boston Private, Katie was a Partner at DesRosiers, Tierney & Sheehan, LLC, and also practiced at Cody & Cody, LLC and Ruberto, Israel & Weiner. Her private practice career concentrated in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, charitable planning, long term care planning and elder law. Prior to private practice Katie served as Trust Counsel for Boston Financial Management.

Katie received her undergraduate degree from Boston College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1998), and her law degree from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., magna cum laude, 2003). While in law school, Katie served as a research assistant for Professor Charles E. Rounds, Jr., aiding in the completion, of Loring A Trustee’s Handbook (2002 Edition). Katie has given numerous presentations on a variety of estate planning topics and serves regularly as a faculty member for MCLE. Katie is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) where she currently serves on the Board of Directors, she also chairs a committee for the National Association of Estate Planning Councils (NAEPC). She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.

Katie lives in Duxbury with her husband and three children. In her free time Katie enjoys yoga, cooking and heading to the beach with friends and family.

Danielle Oristian York is a creative system thinker, a leader and fan of embracing complexity. She has been a consistent leader in the field, spending over 20 years helping families, leaders and communities have complicated conversations about change, identity and the future. Danielle is Executive Director and President of 21/64, a nonprofit practice serving next gen and multigenerational families. She is an expert facilitator, trainer, and keynote speaker. She brings a constant curiosity and warm presence to work with new and seasoned philanthropists, family foundations, nonprofits and the advisors who serve them. Prior to joining the 21/64 team, Danielle worked at UBS and Pitcairn Family Office, this experience provided different vantage points from which to catalyze and support strategic decision making. Danielle lives in Boston with her husband and two terrific kids. 


Educational Track and Level



Certificates of Completion

BEPC's educational events may meet the requirements of Rule 15D under the Massachusetts Establishment and Administration of Mandatory Professional Education for the Practice of Public Accountancy.
BEPC is also a CE Sponsor through the CFP Board. BEPC applies for CE credit approval through the CFP Board for our educational events.
BEPC also applies for CE credit approval through the American Bankers Association to support CTFA designees.
BEPC issues certificates of completion for educational events. The certificates list the number of CPE credit hours or CE credits awarded for the event. The certificate will also state if the seminar was approved by the CFP Board or ABA for CE credit.
