- Attend In-Person
: The evening begins with our by-invitation-only Leadership Reception. All attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception which begins at 5:30 pm. Enjoy a plated dinner and honor our BEPC Excellence Award, President’s Award recipients, and
we look forward to honoring Beth Milkovits, AEP®, CFP and her ascension to BEPC's President. Our special evening will close with desserts and champagne.

- Attend Virtually
: The evening begins at 5:30 pm with a virtual networking/breakout rooms or experiential sessions. Enjoy the live-stream of the pre-dinner program, networking/breakout rooms during dinner, and then enjoy the live-stream of the post-dinner
program. Our virtual evening ends at 8:30 pm.

Experiential Sessions (virtual only): The virtual evening includes a selection of three
interactive sessions with guests selecting one to attend during the registration process. Registration will be monitored and any updates to offerings, and your selection, for the virtual experiences will be communicated with registered participants. Be sure to sign up early to secure your preferred session - space is limited to
first-come, first-served! Registration for experiential sessions closes on April 18, 2022. If you choose to register after this date, the pricing is per the
rate available on your registration date, however registrants will not receive any of the products associated with the sessions. No exceptions.

2022 Excellence Award Recipient
Susan M. Ogrodnik-Smith, AAI, CIC, CPRIA president of the private client group at HUB International New England, to receive the 2022 BEPC Excellence Award.
Susan Ogrodnik-Smith is a 35-year veteran of the property and casualty insurance industry. Susan is a graduate of Trinity College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. In her current role, Susan manages the private client
group practice at Hub International and works directly with family office managers, high net-worth families and trusted advisor teams to assess the unique personal insurance exposures they and their clients face. Her primary focus is the design of
comprehensive risk management programs and asset protection strategies. She also focuses on disaster planning and recovery strategies for the families she serves. Susan has a unique perspective in working with families with more sophisticated risk
management needs. She brings 20 years of broker experience at PLI Brokerage and Hub International, in addition to 15 years of insurance carrier experience with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Learn more.

2022 President's Award Recipient
Katherine L.S. Von Kohorn, partner at Casner & Edwards and a member of the firm's Management Committee, received the 2022 BEPC President's Award. Katie has been a driving force behind the council's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
An Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designee by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC), Katie advises individual clients and generations of families with respect to estate planning, including estate and gift taxes, probate law,
estate and trust administration, inter-generational planning, planning with digital assets, cryptocurrency, and philanthropy. She also serves as trustee of numerous trusts, and works extensively on the investment, tax, and legal aspects of trusts,
as well as with the varied interests of trust beneficiaries. Katie counsels trustees and exempt organizations on issues pertaining to tax exemption, fiduciary responsibilities, and charitable trust law.

Meet Your 2022 Emcee
Executive Arts Editor Jared Bowen is the Emmy award-winning host of the weekly television series, Open Studio with Jared Bowen, which takes
viewers inside the creative process, offering a blend of profiles, performances, and contemporary exhibitions by artists in Greater Boston, New England, and across the country. He is a contributor to WGBH-TV’s nightly news magazine program, Greater
Boston and appears regularly on 89.7 WGBH, where he covers the latest happenings in the region’s theater, art, music, dance and film on WGBH’s Morning Edition and Boston Public Radio. He also serves as a coach on
the choir competition show Sing That Thing! and is the moderator of the Boston Speakers
Series at Symphony Hall facilitating conversations with everyone from world leaders to Oscar-winning actors. He is a member of the Boston Theater Critics Association, the Boston Online Film Critics Association and is a Trustee of
the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Jared is also a contributor to the PBS NewsHour and Art New England magazine.
Jared has produced five news documentaries for WGBH and the first three seasons of the public media company’s Eye on Education initiative. He has won two New England Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow Award for his arts reporting and is a
recipient of the Commonwealth Award, recognizing achievement in the arts, humanities and sciences.
Jared began his career at Dateline NBC in New York, and is a graduate of Emerson College where he also won several Associated Press Awards.

Important Event Information
The health and safety of our members and guests is important to BEPC. Following in-depth discussions, research and guidance from industry professionals, and the data secured via surveys within the membership, BEPC’s Board of Directors enacted the following requirements for participation at in-person BEPC events. In addition, BEPC will also comply with all venue and government mandates (e.g., mask mandates, limits on gathering sizes, presenting vaccination cards, etc.).
For all events at a venue or locality with vaccine mandates, all attendees must present proof of vaccination onsite upon arrival at the event. Verification of vaccination may be done with:
- A CDC vaccination card
- A digital image of your CDC card
- An image of any official immunization record
- A City-designated app or any other COVID vaccine verification app

For all events at a venue or locality that does not require proof vaccination, BEPC requires all attendees to complete a digital health clearance prior to attending the event. Attendees must submit proof of their COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours prior to the event start date. Once registered, attendees will receive additional information on how to complete their digital health clearance through CrowdPass.
- All attendees must accept BEPC's Acknowledgement of Personal Responsibility Form.
- Members are required to wear masks indoors unless actively eating or drinking, as per the current mandate set in place by the City of Boston (as of August 27, 2021).
- Members must provide proof of at least one dose of vaccination against COVID19 with a matching government-issued ID, as per the current mandate set in place by the City of Boston (as of January 15, 2022).
- Members must provide proof of of full vaccination against COVID19 with a matching government-issued ID, as per the current mandate set in place by the City of Boston (as of February 15, 2022).
- BEPC will require attendees at its in-person
events to adhere to good personal hygiene and infection control practices, including;
- Members are required to wear masks indoors, as per the current mandate
set in place by the City of Boston (as of August 27, 2021).
- Members are required to show their vaccination cards as per the current mandate set in place by the City of Boston (as of January 15, 2022).
- Members are not required to wear masks outside. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask outdoors, please do so.
- Members are required to cover coughs and sneezes, with a tissue or an elbow if possible.
- Members are recommended not to touch their eyes, nose, or mouth during events to the extent possible.
- Members are recommended to frequently and thoroughly wash or sanitize their hands. Members should sanitize their hands upon arriving at an event, and upon departing the event.
- Venue will provide attendees with a place to wash their hands. BEPC will also provide
alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol at its events for use by its
members and guest, located at registration.
- BEPC will not permit attendees at any event that are openly displaying signs of illness to enter the event or remain at it and requires that members not attend BEPC events if they are sick, have been sick within the 14 days leading up to the event, have come into contact with anyone who is sick or have traveled to states not listed on the Massachusetts Governor’s approved travel list.

Event Cancellation and Substitution Policy (
in-person only)
Annual Gala Refunds and Cancellations: The deadline to receive a full refund is seven business days prior to the event. All cancellation requests must be
received in writing via email at bepc@bepc.org. Refunds are subject to a $25.00 processing fee.
Annual Gala Substitutions: A registrant may send a substitute person to the Annual Gala in his/her place. Requests for substitutions should be sent in writing
by email to bepc@bepc.org. No changes to meal selection or table assignments may be made less than seven business days prior to the Annual Gala.
Annual Gala Onsite Registrations: Attendees
are strongly encouraged to register in advance of the Annual Gala. Onsite registration will not be available this year.
Virtual Event Notice and Cancellation Policy (virtual only)
Virtual Cancellation/Refund Policy: Space is limited for the virtual event option. When registering, please ensure you will make every effort to participate in the virtual option, or cancel
well in advance of the April 18, 2022 deadline to provide the opportunity to another individual.
All payments must be received by April 18, 2022. This date is also the deadline to register for the virtual option to ensure receipt of the experiential session materials. Your registration will be cancelled and/or you will not be shipped the
experiential session materials unless payment is made by this date. Purchase orders are not an actual payment until the check is received by BEPC.
Registrants who fail to attend the virtual event option, in part or in whole, are not eligible for a refund.
If a technical failure at the attendee’s home or workplace prevents access to the virtual event option, the attendee will not be given a refund. It is the responsibility of the attendee to confirm system requirements and test their computers prior
to the start of the virtual event. However, if a technical failure is the fault of the service provider and the virtual option is cancelled, a full refund will be provided. Virtual event option cancellations are subject to a $25 processing
fee prior to April 18, 2022. Sorry, no refunds after April 18, 2022.
